Getting My Life Back on Track

A few years ago I lost 3 people that were very important to me - 2 within 2 months of each other. Within a few months I also moved in with my boyfriend and had to deal with his very serious health problems. I had been a full time artist and worked part-time at 2 other jobs. With everything that happened I had to walk away from my art. I've always felt that that was the day that I lost my identity.
WELL, I'VE DECIDED TO TAKE IT BACK!!! I have spent 3 years working at a dead end job ...

WELL, I'VE DECIDED TO TAKE IT BACK!!! I have spent 3 years working at a dead end job and have now decided to get back on track! My boyfriend is fully supportive of this. I am starting to paint fabrics again and decided that for 1 year I will only make art/clothing/hats/jewelry/ etc... for myself. It's time to start looking better and feeling like a fully functional human being again.

I've been at by current weight for almost 10 years, although through changes in my eating habits, I've lost 5 inches off of my hips (just found that out today -- miracles do happen). My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the end of the summer and to make some new clothes to fit my new attitude. I enjoy yoga and pilates and have 2 old dogs that love to walk. Looking for someone to walk with and/or possibly exercize with (I'm great on the diet part but horrible about exercize...)...

You had a great loss! I hope you didn't quit. I know you want this.
Have you asked yourself "How can I get the healthy body I want?" Or have you asked yourself "How can I make exercise fun, so I will love doing it?" These are things you can learn being a SPARKER and working on your goals.

If you are an emotional eater, you would enjoy reading "SHRINK YOURSELF" by ROGER GOULD, M.D. I've gotten so much out of reading the book as he says when we get stressed we ruin the diet by eating to deal with the stress.
He has three interviews at www.youtube.com if you want to know more about him. ROGER GOULD is Head of Psychology at UCLA Medical Center.
You can do this. Keep going. emoticon

Hi! I found your spark page as a member of the Audience of One. Beautiful work on the pirate costume and I'm glad to see you have similar interests. I like yoga, pilates, I also get on the treadmill so if I was closer, I'd look you up and walk. Unfortunately, I'm about three hours north of you!

I'm going for a similar goal of 50 pounds and trying to get my dog out for more walks too. He loves them so.

Looking forward to seeing some of your other and new work in the future!
