    Hi...I was out there looking for Spark friends in Colorado (I'm a little homesick lately). My husband and I moved from Lakewood to a little town near Berlin, Germany four years ago and there aren't a lot of Sparkies over here that speak English!

    I'm a Marketing geek, so I know what it's like to sit all day. I was reading that you are struggling. I guess we all are, but somehow you need to find something that drives you to lose weight.

    A few tips I have found over the summer that have really helped:

    1) TRACK YOUR FOOD...at least for a while. It's easy and it keeps you honest about what you're putting in your mouth. Then you know at the end of the day how you are doing with calories, fat, carbs, etc.

    2) KEEP MOVING...I will never be a workout freak, but I try to move (stationary bike, real outdoor bike, or walk) at least an hour a day.

    3) EAT SMALL SNACKS OFTEN...if you ask my co-workers, they would tell you I eat all day...but I eat well. I have a snack every few hours (banana, apple, pistachios) so I won't go overboard at home in the evenings when it's easy to stray.

    4) KEEP READING SPARK STUFF...read the emails they send, even if you don't think they apply to you. Surf around on the website. There's so much here! Read someone's motivating blog.

    I know you can find your own tips to doing this. All we're doing here is trying to burn more calories than we take in...aren't we? That's not so hard when you think of it that way! Best wishes! emoticon
