Hi! I joined Sparkpeople in July 2012 when I was at 165 pounds (I'm 5'3"). I previously had lost 23 pounds on my own since December of 2011. I hit my goal weight of 150 in September 2012 and have lost 10 more pounds since (as of March 2013). I did all of this through my diet. I love to eat, and I don't feel deprived. I also believe that cooking healthy meals was my #1 key to success.

My Goals:
I have hit my weight loss goals, so now I am working on eating healthy well-rounded meals and improving overall nutrition.

My Program:
I cook dinner at least 5 nights a week, and bring my lunch to work 4 days a week. I believe in a moderate approach to eating, and manage to fit almost everything into my eating plans, including wine, cheese, and sweets. I don't believe in cutting anything out.

Personal Information:
I'm 30 years old, and am originally from a small town in Central California. I spent 2003-2010 living in Chicago, then went back to California, then moved to Colorado in May of 2012. I live here out in the middle of nowhere a bit NE of Denver, with my boyfriend and basset hound.

Thanks for the blog comment. I'm glad I'm not along in the struggle with sweets recently. You're probably right that it is a holdover of effects from Christmas and I still haven't gotten back to my normal self. I do have yogurt sometimes in the morning, but maybe I should jazz it up to make it feel more "special."

Loved your post on calories! I think I was too low for too long, but I was quite full. But things stalled out. So now, I am trying to pay attention and make sure I eat more. Little more calorie cycling. It is just sometimes hard to wrap my brain around the idea of eating more to lose weight :) So your post was a nice reminder, as the thought of having to go lower to lose weight, was certainly not appealing. emoticon

Making the Taco Stuffed Shells off of the Budget Bytes website tonight. Have never made homemade enchilada sauce before, excited about that. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
