American Mom in Japan

I've been in Japan 25 years and have two sons, 18 and 14. I live in a city in southern Japan with abundant opportunities for exercise in my neighborhood, public gym and public swimming pool, as well as lots of places to walk. I want to toss the excuses and get on with having a healthy middle age.

My Goals:
I want to be fit and have the body scanner tell me that my fitness age is younger than my physical age.

My Program:
Nutrition tracking - I want it to be so automatic that I only have to measure occasionally to keep myself from drifting into unhealthy portions.
Develop automatic healthy fitness habits whether it is going to the local public gym several times a week, jumping on the Wii when I'm bored or mountain hiking with my senior citizen friends.

Personal Information:
Formerly athletic, I'd like to recreate that persona for middle age with appropriate athletic activities. Book worm, too.

Other Information:
Do it

Hi!
I can relate to pulling weeds! I've about managed to get mine under semi control...LOL!
emoticon on New Orleans! I hope your DS likes it at Loyola! It's a great school!
I spent 99% of my summers growing up on the Gulf Coast, in Biloxi MS. My Mom is buried there, along with many relatives. Had plans to take my Dad's ashes down when Katrina hit. I've not made it yet.
NO is a world unto itself. I'd love to visit again, but you could not pay me to live down there! I have family left in Galveston, Texas, too. Too hot and humid! emoticon
I hope BACKUPAGAIN has stuck with what she has learned, too. I think if I could no longer go to the SP site I would still be able to practice what I have learned so far. I have developed some pretty useful and life changing habits that I CAN and WILL maintain as long as I live.
Off to fix DH some supper...
Thanks so much for keeping in touch with me!

You can reach your goal by August! One step at a time! Slow and steady assures results that will last!

Hello! emoticon
Thank you for the teapot! My favorite teapot of all time is a little yellow one... so I love to get this sparkgoodie! It truly makes me smile...
It is SO good to hear from you!
I hope everyone is well, and I'm happy you are going back to the gym. I've slippd a bit on the Wii workouts, but today was my 125th day of body tests. I have been faithful to doing it every morning, no matter what. One habit established at a time.
Don't see much activity on our Class page, but I guess it ebbs and flows as our lives do.
Do you hear from BACKUPAGAIN?
Ok. Time to get MOVING for the day!
