Success is not a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire.

I am radiant and joyful! I love being a woman who does not say, "Oh I could never imagine..." I take chances, constantly stepping out of my comfort zone. I dance and laugh freely. I surround myself with people who bring out the best in me. My work is my passion, my bliss. I thank Goddess each and everyday that I may be so blessed to be in the best time of my life.

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going".

It has been four years since I joined SP. I fully believe that this site has helped me evolve into the heath conscious woman I have become.

When I eat well and am active, I feel wonderful. I can enjoy life without so many self imposed limitations. (And be real... aren't all limitations self imposed)? It makes me want to maintain this as my lifestyle. I see no negative outcome possible from making my (and my family's) health a priority.

I am a yogini. Yoga found me in 1997. The rest is her-story. I have never had such a powerful influence in my life that was not another sentient being. My practice could be stronger, I think all teachers struggle with that. Typical work life balance. But it is yoga, so it is not exactly typical. Opportunities to learn everywhere.

I am a runner. There are days when nothing feels quite as wonderful as being able to literally run my troubles away. When the weather is warm I try to get at least one 10-13 miler in every week. Nothing like being out before 6 am on those sticky Summer mornings. In the Winter I run when I want, and sometimes even when I don't. I only really want to run outside, so just I bundle up and remember I'll be warmer if I run faster.

I like being strong, it is practical so I usually lift three times a week. Gardening reminds me that it is very helpful to have the muscle to haul dirt, dig holes, plant shrubs, and pull weeds. My daughter gets bigger everyday. I want to be able to still scoop her up and twirl her around for a long time. Plus, definition is sexy.

I have recently committed to eating more raw foods. When I eat raw, I do notice a difference in the way I feel and look. It gives me so much more energy and clarity. It might be tough in the winter. I am seeing that already, but I am committed to consuming ever more alive food.

My daughter is eating better than she ever has in her ripe 5 years of age. It really is as simple as making sure she sees me eat well, and have healthy options for her within reach. A bowl of fruit in the middle of the table, and offering the healthiest option first. She might spit it out, but she always tries one bite.

For me it all comes down to figuring out what works for me and my family. There is a fair amount of making it up as I go along. It seems to be working though, and when it doesn't, I adjust.

As Spring arrives I can finally bare the body I've been covering all winter to the warm sun. It is especially nice when I feel good about my body. I am ready to rack up some miles pounding the pavement and my new routine for lifting. I want to be hotter than the sand under my feet come August!
