A New Attitude!

Sometimes in life you just have to make a change. This is that time in my life!

I've been on the diet roller coaster for as long as I can remember. Nothing unusual there, I'm sure. I'm sure that most people here have been on the same coaster that I'm on. Some for a shorter ride and some have been riding it for years. The thing is, though, I want off of this coaster NOW!!

I've been on the diet roller coaster for as long as I can remember. Nothing unusual there, I'm sure. I'm sure that most people here have been on the same coaster that I'm on. Some for a shorter ride and some have been riding it for years. The thing is, though, I want off of this coaster NOW!!

I've been going through some changes in my personal life that have given a large blow to my self esteem. For a couple of months (or more!) I have been sitting around feeling sorry for myself. And what a wonderful crutch my weight has made to not follow through with necessary changes. Well, no more!

2008 is the Year of Theresa! This is going to be my year, God willing. This is the year I will pull myself together and get my butt in gear!

This is not only going to be about dieting. This is going to be about my self esteem and the issues in my life that are causing me to shove so much food into my face. Food is good, yes. Food is comforting, yes. Food is festive, yes. Food is worth my self esteem, NO. Food is worth my health, NO. On March 4th I will turn 40. I need a change in attitude to keep myself healthy and strong!

Today the change begins.

*To lose at least 1 pound per week. Slow and steady.

*To become fit and healthy.

My Program:
For now I am watching calories and working in an exercise routine. No specific "plan" such as Atkin's or Weight Watchers.
