Time to Make My Comeback!

April 2014 - It's been a crazy year! Moving to a new place, going back to school. I was good for a while but it has finally taken its toll on me! I gained some weight but I am determined to lose most of it by the time summer comes around! I want to feel confident in my body again! Its time to get it done!

April 2014 - It's been a crazy year! Moving to a new place, going back to school. I was good for a while but it has finally taken its toll on me! I gained some weight but I am determined to lose most of it by the time summer comes around! I want to feel confident in my body again! Its time to get it done!
May 2013 - I am starting fresh. I am going to pretend like this is the first time I have signed up to sparkpeople and this is the beginning of my weight loss journey! I have gained way to much weight and now I need to retrain myself. I have to learn how to eat healthy and eat smaller portions. I have to learn that I am going to have to constantly push myself to workout because motivation doesnt always come so easily. I am going to have to make better choices so at the end of the day I feel good about myself and good about where I am headed healthwise! Here I come, again, spark!

September 2012 - So its been a while since I have been on spark. Just been spending my extra time doing other things. My weight has sort of been fluctuating between the same 5 pounds, but now I have gone over those 5 pounds. Its the beginning of fall my favorite season! And I want to look good for the fall, especially since all the great/fun holidays are coming soon! Which means I need to get my butt back into gear and start working hard on getting to my goal weight again!
April 2011 - This healthy journey is something that doesnt end once you hit your goal weight, you have to continue and enter the next faze which is maintaining and with that there are a lot of obstacles to over come. Its hard, but its all part of the journey and even though I have had my ups and downs I just have to keep focused and remember WHY I am here and how much I love being at where I am now!
Dec 2010 - This has been a great year of accomplishments. I have reached my goal weight, I have done things I never thought I could, like jog around the park, and loving it! Like saying no to foods that I ALWAYS used to eat, and just plain loving my new healthy lifestyle.
Now what will the new year bring? Its the last month of 2010 and now that I have accomplished a big goal of mine this year its time to think about what my next great goal is going to be for 2011!

Feb 2009 - I am a young female just trying to get back into shape, to look good and feel good about my body. Heard this website from a friend. She said it helps modivate you to lose weight and so here I am!

Well the 5:45 thing is already kind of in me because Manny gets up at 6am. He's happy with his job so he has no problem getting out of bed, lol! But because he wakes up, I wake up too. I sometimes don't want to leave the bed but if I don't, I have less time in the morning to get all the morning stuff done (especially taking care of Tucker before work) so I just make myself get up. The getting up at 4am is a little tougher. The last few days I've been waking up like ten minutes to 6am which...I might as well just stay in bed another 15 minutes then until Manny's done with the bathroom, lol! But I've also been really tired lately too. I went to sleep last night around 9:30pm or 9:45pm, it was ridiculous. I was reading and my eyes started drooping. I only woke up when Manny took the book out of my hand and dragged the blanket up a bit more on me, LOL! After that I just knocked out. But I woke up in the middle of the night for a few minutes and then forced myself back to sleep. According to my FitBit I slept 8hours and 56 minutes (9 hours), woke up once and was restless 7 times. I'm not surprised. But I think I'm just going to try to force myself to sleep earlier so I can wake up earlier and just get my workouts out of the way. I keep setting aside my HRM and earphones so I can grab them on the way out in the morning when I want to take Tucker out to run but then I wake up at 6am on the dot. So I just need to get back into that really early schedule and I'll be good to go!

Yah I tried to get up early to go out with Tucker again this morning but I slept through until 5:45am. At that point I start running into Manny and stuff so I figured maybe at least tomorrow I would have more time to try since I am the late person closing. Sigh. I have Friday SDO but then work another Saturday and I have to talk to the LCS about not taking an SDO next week so I can bank comp because this will be the third Saturday. Too many work days, too much work on too many workdays and I'm just tired. Ugh. HALP.

You are the best Y!
Thanks for your sweet comments for my dad and my mom. She is comfortable as much as she can be. She struggles b/c she used to be so independent and now she has to depend on people and she can't do the things she used to. My mom was not one to sit still I can tell you that. Things started going downhill for her when my dad passed away. The rosary went very well (except that I had to go to ER right before that due to my head injury, they said it was just really bad whiplash, gave me some pain meds) so I sat in the rosary in alot of pain and right after it was finished I went to pharmacy filled prescription and took one that night) it was terrible I couldn't sleep the pain went away but it gave me really bad headache I rather take the pain so I didn't take anymore. I am going to concussion specialist Wednesday just to make sure I am okay at ER they just took xrays.

Thank goodness there was no long term damage to your head. How in the world did you hit your head that you blacked out? That must have been some hard hit!

I totally hear ya about Sparks and then other things going on in our lives sometimes it just gets to be too much and it is overwhelming at times. Good for you for coming back at least and concentrating on yourself, that is the first and foremost thing you can do for you and your health.

We do celebrate Easter. We went to church last night it was packed. Our church always asks us to go to the Friday and Saturday services to save seats for Visitor's on Sunday as some people only go to church 2x a year Easter and Christmas.

Have a Happy and Blessed Easter and weekend.
Hugs
Maria

Hey There,
Hope you are planning for a Happy Easter. Thanks for your reply on my page. I leave myself some wiggle room when counting calories on Food Tracker. I stay 100 under my limit which is 1200. We can do this, it is not that hard and if you look at it as a lifelong success story it works better. Fast foods is too unhealthy to eat. Homemade is always better or the least processed you can. No diet or no fat foods for me. It is all about choices as you know. What about putting a weight tracker on your page instead of the ticker you have. I tell you it keeps me honest and makes me more accountable. Sending support but you have what it takes. Best wishes, emoticon
