My Goals:
*Get to a healthier weight ~ still deciding on the goal weight
*Eat healthy
*Run a 1/2 marathon

My Program:
Tracking ALL food (I mean every crumb I put in my mouth!!!) and staying within SP macronutrient limits - also tracking fiber.

Couch to 5K running for cardio (program specifies at least 3 times a week but my goal is 4-5)

SP strength training program (looking for something else to add if anyone has good suggestions!)

Ha, are you kidding? He wouldn't touch my batch meals...he's very picky about his vegetables (he eats them, but only the ones he likes). And I wouldn't let him probably either...too much effort to track each calorie that goes into my recipes to "waste" on someone who isn't calorie counting. I know my approach wouldn't work if I had kids...but it works fine for now. He eats his stuff and I eat mine, and we get along just fine!

Dr. Goglia's plan is supposed to boost your metabolism. There is a 3 week Quickstart (it was featured in a few back issues of Oxygen magazine) where you gradually wean off carbs, and then his book has a 12-week maintenance program. It's basically clean eating....6 meals a day. I thought I was eating pretty healthy before, but this is pretty hardcore...at least the Quickstart part. It helped me get the scales moving again. If you are interested, I belong to a Sparkteam called Turn Up the Heat, which is a support group for the plan.
