I am 47 years old and had my lap band surgery done in May 2009. I have a 9yr old and 4 yr old grandson and don't want to miss out on them growing up . (both my parents died and my mom died before my oldest daughter was 5 yrs old)

My Goals:
To go from 241 to 141.... get healthy and live to see my grandchildren get married and have children. ( my mother passed away when my oldest was 5 and my youngest was 1)

to get my 5k time under 30 minutes before end of summer 2013... to do 10k's in summer of 2014 and do a half marathon before I turn 50 in July in 2015

dear ann, i'm glad we are sparkfriends. it is nice to have a hiking partner on these rough trails. i'm with kellie bean. if you can and are willing, i would trash or otherwise remove from sight and access all your trigger foods and replace them with easily available healthy options. it's hard, and you can do it! rah rah rah! i'm cheering you on!

You can do this!

Your mission should you choose to accept it... Go through the kitchen, throw out the junk, it hurts but you can do it! Get to store, get some fruits, veggies, wheat thins and peanut butter (always takes the edge off of my muchie pangs).

Start getting your water in, throw some fruit in there to jazz it up. Do a short Spark video to get you going.

You have accomplished so much, don't let a slump get your down. You can rise above this! I have faith in you!

Saw your daily check in today and wanted to let you know that you have done an amazing job. Sometimes after these indulgences, it take our bodies more time, especially in the winter when we are not as active to get the gain off. After a short vacation, I am trying to get the extra pounds off too. Keep at it. It will happen. Use each day to make a small step in the right direction. It will not happen all at once. Try joining a challenge to take your mind off of the scale and focus on a short-term goal that will help you lose the holiday weight. Keep up the good work! emoticon
