I always said to myself that if my knees ever started giving me problems that I'd finally do what I could to take the weight off.
Well 45 years old and it's happened and all at once too!
Like hitting a brick wall and no real warnings. Just BOOM! Crunching and swelling and major pain. OK, OK I Give in, but now with all the pains it's not so easy to do the activity it takes to lose the weight. Or is this an excuse I give myself for not doing it. Failed back surgery L3L4 in 2000 and 8 years on pain killers that are somewhat ineffective except to lose my short term memory with. They do take the edge off the pain, but also make me tired and interfere with my weight loss goals. Gotta eat something substantial every time a take a pill to keep from getting pukey. I'm in a catch 22 and can't figure how to get out. So I found this site and will see what is in store for me using it. Thought it might hold me accountable or something like that which might help. Who Knows.....can't hurt right??

Well here it is July 18,2008 and I've finally done it!! On July 12th I joined 24 hour fitness club and am actually going this time!! WhaHoo!! I met with a personal trainer (included in the package deal) and have since lost 7 1/2 Lbs. When I got up and weighed this morning it totally excited me to see progress. I'm trying real hard to eat right and not be tempted by the people around me to snack with them. That's the most difficult part because nobody else is working a program. I took them as guest to the club to swim last night and as we were getting into the car they were like "I'm hungry lets go get something to eat" I was like "NOT ME"!
"You guys can go do it but I'm not" and I talked them out of it. They said of course I'm a party pooper but they just don't get it!
I know the first 20 lbs. come off the easiest then I usually hit a wall so I'll keep you posted. Thanks Friends for listening again, your all in my prayers :-)

Fitness Minutes: 445

My Goals:
To lose enough weight to be healthy again and to not be in so much pain.

Oh, and it would be nice to get into some of the old clothes I've been keeping around for 15 years thinking one day they would fit again. LOL!


My Program:
Working out in the Gym 4 days a week. Elliptical, swimming and resistance training.

1750 calories a day.

NO NIGHT TIME SNACKING!
