I "recently" retired January 2012 and am enjoying life immensely!! I also lost the stress weight I put on - approximately 36 pounds - and am now working on losing the remaining belly fat (probably about five pounds more). Now it's time to stay quit smoking!

I found that my wardrobe has expanded by virtue of the clothes I kept from when I was smaller as well as the ones I had bought in the meantime to motivate me to lose the weight. Now I don't have to go shopping, plus when I watch the fashion commercials I find myself thinking "I can wear ALL those outfits and look good!!" Needless to say, my options as far as what I can wear have definitely expanded!!

My Goals:
I gained approximately 12 pounds due to life's stressors. So I want to lose 10 pounds, go on maintenance and continue enjoying hiking, walking my dog, Honey Bear and doing whatever else my heart desires as far as activity wise. I also want to stay quit smoking!!


My Program:
1. Track all food or drink consumed in my journal.

2. Walk my dog Honey Bear every day.

3. Workout at the gym at least four times a week - treadmill with HIIT or Jillian Michaels DVD

4. ST three days a week.



Personal Information:
I guess you could say I'm a California native, having lived in Los Angeles for 37 years. I "recently" retired January 2012 and am absolutely loving life! I am single, totally footloose and fancyfree with no kids; and I had a German Shepard mix named Prinny who I had to send over the Rainbow Bridge December 2014. I really miss her, but I got another "child" at the shelter, a pitbull mix whose name is Honey Bear. Life is good again!!


Other Information:
I love to read, hike, sail, watch movies and walk my dog Honey Bear. I am a member of several groups on Meetup.com and will join a group for going to a new restaurant, hikes, dancing, clubs, concerts or the theater. A great way of meeting new people, for sure!
