This is my most recent picture with another big boy lol.

This is how I looked before I quit smoking and this is also how I hope to look again in 2010!

This is me at age 19. This is what I want to look like again. This is my goal.

I quit smoking in 1996 and immediately gained 50lbs which sucks. Since then I've gained over the years and couldn't stop gaining but I wasn't trying very hard either.

In 2007 I started up SparkPeople and was doing pretty good but then a tragedy crashed into my world and my motivation was lost.

A year later in 2008 I started riding my bike and eating right again and I was doing so good but then I had an accident on my bicycle. It was very costly and then I couldn't repair it at all because of the bad economy.

In April 2009 I finally finished buying all the bike parts and started riding again FINALLY!

Edit July 2009: I'm doing great with the bike riding. In April I was going 10 miles a day then eventually made it to 11, 12, 13 then for 2 weeks I was going 16 miles per day. Now I'm doing 20 miles per day. The more I ride the bike the more energy I get back and even though I'm in a bit of a plateau I believe it's because I'm building muscle and that weighs more than fat so if you think about it I am losing weight, it just doesn't show me on the scale. When my muscles decide ok we've built enough and we're happy with what we have then the scale will start to show some loss.

I'm not going to stop because the scale says that I'm not losing weight. That has always been what has prevented me from succeeding in the past, the scale. If I stop weighing myself and keep riding then I will see results in the mirror instead which I have been seeing.

My Goals:
My new goal is to get my legs back in shape so that I can ride my bike as if it were a normal thing so I don't have any muscle pain. I want to have the ability to ride my bike for a couple of hours like I did when I was younger and not strain so much.

My Program:
I can't eat all the foods that this website gives me to eat, I just don't have the money for it. I can only eat what I can afford in moderation. But with enough exercise I think that I can lose enough weight to make me feel good about myself.

Personal Information:
I am from Los Angeles, CA but I currently live in Bakersfield, CA. I am usually always on the computer because I am so fascinated with technology. And when I'm not I'm crocheting in the living room or watching my shows.

Other Information:
I don't blog here normally. I usually blog on my website which is www.xanapus.com/blog

Hey Mike, I hope you are achieving your goals and losing all the weight you hoped to. Its a long hard road and I know how tough it is. Dont give up. My partner and I went on vacation over 2 months ago and since then I've gained 20 lbs. I've been depressed about it, but have made up my mind to get back on the diet and beat this weight thing. Good luck to you buddy.
