Hi. I am Sharon & decided to lose some weight to support my sister. She decided she is going to get into shape, and being a fantastic sister that I am, i decided to show my support by working out with her. That's how I started.. but, like everything over time - things changed and/or evolved. I am still supporting my sister, but have found that I am also doing this for me.. I am an unhealthy fat girl.. I am tired of being unhealthy and even more tired of being fat. So here's to changing my lifestyle, to working out, to thinking about what i want to accomplish, and basically just thinking about me..

My Goals:
Goals for 2011:

(a) pick a "new" song every week to dance around with while cleaning and/or working out - - preferably upbeat, but whatever i'm feelin at that moment

(b) go to the gym SIX days a week and get into at least 2 classes (if possible), spend 20 minutes on the elliptical, treadmill AND bike

(c) run a 5k

(d) make a "new & healthy" recipe once a week

(e) not look like a village idiot having seizures while in class (hey, it's a goal.. lol)


My Program:
i started out just going to the apartment complex fitness center and getting on the treadmill. i have "outgrown" the apt fitness center. i now use a treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike; as well as strength training on machines, free weights, and several classes too.. not to mention dancing around the apt while cleaning, walking the neighborhood & walkin the pooch.. lol

My name is Sharon. i have a fabulous husband, and a dog that loves me to death. we joined a gym not too long ago so i could go to the zumba class, now he's really into working out as well. i enjoy the "classes" and he enjoys working out alone or on the weights..


Other Information:
no accomplishment is too small. it's only as small as you make it.
