Thanks for stopping by my page :-) My weight is something I've always struggled with. In 2005 I worked with a nutritionist on a weekly basis and was able to take off 50 lbs of fat and put on 20 lbs of muscles. Since then I've gotten married, moved 1/2 way across the country twice, changed jobs, advanced to a supervisory role (12/08) and put on about 15 lbs. I would love to take off those 15 lbs, plus another 10. I'm 5'1", with some muscles, so I figure anything below 110-115 wouldn't be very healthy for my body type. (115 might even be too low, but I won't know til I get closer ;-) Initially I had really liked the food diary on sparkpeople and had some success (summer of 2008). It's a great tool to track where you're really at with your caloric intake. This spring (2009), I was feeling stressed out with the recording and catching myself eating (extra) crazy on the days when I couldn't report. As a result, I'm striving for overall moderation, and not recording much if at all. I'm trying to fit gym workouts into my week on a more consistent basis. It is a continual battle to fit the gym in as my work schedule varies drastically from one day to the next and/or extends longer than expected many days. I love traveling, particularly if there is a beach or two involved! Hoping to fit a tropical escape into my world before too long. Maybe spring of 2010? (updated 11/19/09)

9/24/12: Back again....planning to try the food tracker again, since I have a broken foot and am very limited in regards to what I can do.

10/7/14: Back again....as much as I dislike food tracking, it's always given me good results when I'm consistent. The last several years have been good overall, but I haven't taken care of my health/weight like I should. So.....I'm tracking food again, striving for at least a 3500 calorie deficit each week. I'm also trying to get creative with establishing a workout routine that doesn't infringe on kid/family time or work responsibilities.
