Farewell Winter Weight!

The last 3 years I've been a fairly athletic person involved in running, triathlons and multisport challenges, but this year I burned out in July after 2 major events back to back. As a result, my activity level dropped to "nothing" and I've already gained my "winter weight" and it's not even winter yet!! Plus, I can tell my mood just isn't what it usually is. I've been looking for motivation for the last two months to regain some activity and to drop some weight prior to next years spring ...

I've been looking for motivation for the last two months to regain some activity and to drop some weight prior to next years spring training season. So far, I'm enjoying exploring this site and hope I can stick with it!

My Goals:
Drop at least 18 lbs
Exercise 3 to 4 days a week
Eat a well balanced diet
Pace my 2010 training season to include STP, 1 Tri, and 1 Half Marathon

My Program:
I'm keeping a food and fitness diary and plan to start working in some of the spark menu's shortly. I'm also looking for a running group in my neighborhood.

Personal Information:
I live in West Seattle near nice trails and easy access restaurants, darn it!
I tend to eat pretty healthy if I can avoid going out, but the fitness level fluctuates from season to season. This year's been a challenge...

Other Information:
When it comes to diet, I like routine and don't mind repeating familiar foods forever!
When it comes to activity, I'm not competitive at all... My goal is just to finish 'alive'. I do get bored easily though, so after a season of a particular activity, it's time to change it up!
