Arriving at a Mini Me

I am a person who loves food - loves to cook and eat - but also wants to be healthy. I work in a high stress environment, long hours, a lot of interaction with people, but very high mental function is required. I cannot be tired during the day, and am constantly "in the middle of something" which has resulted in me skipping breakfast and lunch on any normal day. When it's dinner time, I eat what I want because it is a signal that my day is over and I can relax.

I am 35 and have been within 10 pounds of my weight for the last year, and I want to change that. I am learning that I must eat 3 meals a day, at least. I refuse to give up cooking delicious meals at night and on the weekends...cooking is relaxing to me because I don't think of anything else but what I am cooking. My quest is to lose weight, get out of my chair at work and move a bit during the day, eat 3 meals, try to exercise more (find the time), and keep on cooking!

How are you? Things crazy on your end? there must be a full moon, it has been a rough few weeks for me as well. Hope you are doing okay, I know the stress has made it hard on me to keep on track. Holler if you need to vent!

Lol, I am happy that sharing my work-outs is uplifting. I hope you are well!! I have found commiting to run a 5k a big help in my focus. After 6 weeks of Elliptical, things were starting to get stale. This new goal has really helped. You should consider it, there are some great training programs/schedules out there.
