Update- My short story is live on Amazon Kindle, The Secret Chronicles of East Aby: Zhanna, Assassin of the Hills.
The traditional paperback will be published by CreateSpace.com

I'm Steven, a 64 year-old RETIRED High School teacher. I have a son and daughter and another daughter. My youngest daughter heavily involved in raising my two granddaughters.

At my heaviest I weighed 250. On a 5'7" body, I was a mini-blimp. Then I had a visitation from the God of Triple Angioplasty's. I managed to get down to 242. I stayed at that weight for several years.
I finally found a eating style I can cook and live with, South Beach Diet. Now my current weight is 225. Still a ways to go, but enjoying the ride to get there.

I'm good at visualization: I can see myself looking like I want to look. I do work towards the vision...then, CRAP, I for no apparent reason begin to undo what I 'just done'. I know that somewhere inside of me - there's a better Me.

Right now I'm doing one thing I've always wanted to do: WRITE. I've always been a fan of the 'What if -' genre of historical fiction. Also I read a Lot of 'Who done it?' mysteries. So I'm writing short stories and flash fiction in both those genre's. Most are posted on my author's blog.
So far I'm unpublished, but, I am proud of my small collection of rejection slips from publishers. At least they know I'm here.

One of the rewards of getting older is you can slow down. Sometimes its at your chosen pace, other times your body makes those choices. That's me.

I'd been meaning to write you about the Rhetoric class... Thanks for the comments. I think there could be ways to make it more interesting, but this instructor doesn't seem to be trying. Her attitude about online instruction is part of the problem. She even admitted that she'd prefer to teach the class in-person. Your comments gave me hope!
