April 2010 -- finally the chins are starting to reduce in number

I've gained all my weight back, plus some. What else is new? Arghhhh! However, I have done it before, I can do it again. My son is getting married in a year, which is a perfect goal to shoot for. Off we go. I do love that the new tracking ties calories to activity. I can earn more food, which is a great incentive. I can do the food part of losing weight relatively easily, as I am a scratch cook, but getting moving is always my weakness when I am heavy. The carrot of more calories is a great idea, not to mention keeping things healthy.
I eat very well -- always have. Junk food is not a problem with me. So, I have been tracking everything I eat, adjusting proportions, weighing everything.
On the other side, I am learning what I need to do for regular activity so I can eat lots. I don't like deprivation, and love to move, so there is no reason for me to spend my life counting every bite. I just need to learn what the balance is to keep the weight off.
Eating 1500-1600 calories a day.
Minimum activity is 2.5-4km walking every day.
I am happily single (divorced almost 15 years ago) with three grown kids, two daughters and son. I live in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.
I'm a Web designer and author, so my location is not important to my work. I tend to travel a lot, because I can just stop on the road and work for a few days to catch up.

Hi there, thanks for stopping by my blog. I really liked that dress and it was really hard not to buy it but somehow i managed to leave it in the store, but that doesn't mean i won't go back today to purchase it :)

Hang tight. Keep going. I know it is sometimes hard to fight through a funk, especially with the kind of weather we are having right now, but you can do it. You are worth EVERY effort.

Thanks for you kind message. You are quite right, the food tracking part really takes a while since I have to enter the nutritional values for the foods I eat. I can definitely see how it is worth it though. I am still somewhat confused with the fitness tracker though. I have been trying to figure it out for the past 30 mins! lol...i give up. I will try again tomorrow.
I am glad you are reaching your goals. I actually think 40lbs in 9 months is really good. Hey..it's 40 lbs!!! I can't wait until my little weightloss tracker says that I've lost that much Good luck
