Hey there, Elena! I'm not sure you'll remember me, but we chatted some a few years back. I'm so glad to have run across you again still fighting the good fight! I, too.. and it looks like we've landed in a similar place (low-carb), though I'm extremely low-carb: keto (less than 20 grams net carbs daily), and I am doing great (I was paleo for five years and only managed to eliminate 25 pounds)... I've eliminated 65 pounds since November, and am within 30 pounds of my goal weight now.
If you're interested, check out The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung... and his blog: Intensive Dietary Management... the Obesity Lecture Series is a great place to start. It all makes sense to me now... why I got fat, and why I couldn't lose weight even on an ultra strict, very clean dietary regime.
Anyway, just wanted to say I remember you fondly, and you remain one of the people I hold in my heart and mind as I continue to move forward. You've always been an inspiration to me!

27th Jan 2016 and I've decided to try something new. I've been doing a load of reading about which diet is best for me and I've decided to do a hybrid of low carb, Mediterranean and calorie counting diets. Can't find anything like it so this is going to be an experiment. For this reason I'm going to keep an online diary with things that I've learned and recipes that inspire me. Excited! 361 days ago
