She got up off the couch

I've had some big changes in my life. I lost my job as a librarian and I'm now working in a re-habilition facility. The one good thing about the job is I get a lot of excersize and walk about 3 miles a day now. I'm trying hard to remain positive even though a lot of bad stuff has happened to me in the last six months.

"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." (Albert Schweitzer)

Thank you for being my SparkPal and experiencing this adventure with me. You support means more to me than you'll ever know.

My kids get apples AND desserts in their lunches and they're still skinny as rails! Oh to be young again. :) What I wouldn't give for that kind of metabolism! I suppose it helps that ALL they get is breakfast and lunch and they can't just graze through the day like I can, and they have PE where they have to run miles in the rain. And they're growing. But I am mean, FYI. LOL, just thought you should know. emoticon

Thanks for your comment. Love the lecture by the way! I agree with everything you said. My downfall is that I buy stuff for my kids that I "can't" eat. Each morning I start my day by packing 2 school lunches which include cookies for desserts. Also, we'll probably have some trick-or-treaters tonight so in my mind that justifies buying 3 or 4 pounds of candy 2 weeks early and then eating most of it. So as you can see, I have "issues. emoticon
