After many years of starting and stopping diets and exercise routines, I've finally decided to get really serious about achieving my goals of getting healthy, both mentally and physically, and losing weight.

Short Term Goal: Walk a 5K each month, either an organized event or on my own

Medium Term Goal:
Be ready to go to the beach this coming summer.

Long Term Goal:
Go for a ride in a helicopter!

My Program:
I've started with the basics...
no more soda's
eat more fruits & veggies
exercise at least 30 minutes a day
track my foods

Hello there! Thanks for the comment on my blog. So nice to hear from you again. I knew that when I came back to Spark, there would be excellent folks like you ready to support me.

I rejoined Spark thinking it would be safe at this point to do so. I've had some trouble with a stalker, and wouldn't you know it, as soon as the restraining order expired, she started up again.

I don't think I'm going to be able to continue at Spark because she stalks me online as well as off. I made my page private, but I think she's actually on my friends list here. I think she might have made a fake profile and so I don't know which profile is hers and which are my actual Spark friends.

I'm just leaving Spark (facebook, and every other on line thing) again. One day she might really go away and then I'll be back.

No matter how much time has passed, I still remember my Sparkfriends fondly and want you to know just how much your support means to others.

I just got back in from walking 26 minutes and WHEW. My body is acting like I just walked a 5K! The doc said to let my body be my guide. I did 15 min. on Tuesday, 30 min. in 2 sessions yesterday(20 /10), and was trying to see if I could do 30 min. at once today. Not quite there yet, but was glad I tried. Plus I walked outside since it's in the mid 40's today! It felt great to get some fresh air! Hope you can get some walking in soon.

You are right, recovery from surgery gets sooooo boring, and requires A LOT of patience. Sounds like you are doing things right, though, and taking care to heal to your maximum potential. So important. Glad you are feeling good with very little pain. Day to day, you'll begin getting your strength and endurance back. Hang in there. The road to recovery may be longer than you want, but once you get there it's worth it.

Looking forward to moving more myself! Take care!
