I have an undying passion for health, wellness, nutrition, and fitness.
I enjoy just about ANYTHING outdoors, except for the BEES.
I think one absolutely positive quote, compliment, thought, smile, look...first thing in the morning....can make your day go in a completely different direction.
I am taking my 30's by storm in hopes to live the long, healthy, prosporous life that we all dream of.
I don't have the pretty little picture perfect life most people paint for themselves...and I can admit that.
My daughter is the world to me...she is the reason I believe the lord allows me to wake up each day.
I am working on my Bachelor's degree in nursing...what a challenge and thinking I want to try earning a firtness trainer's certificate!
I work because I can...and for the most part enjoy is scary some days, but all jobs can be when you're a Nurse.
I really thrive to learn all sorts of new things!
I have been a member of sparkpeople since 2007...and it was one of my best decisions to join.
I'm a nurse, mother, wife, friend, and a hero to a little girl who sees me as much more than I could ever imagine being!

Fitness Minutes: 11,479

My Goals:
My biggest goal is to eat clean and live healthy...this is a pretty easy task most days.

8-10 8oz. glasses of H2O daily.

Increase my fiber intake.

5K my way be completed 3rd week of June 2012. -DONE

Sparkpeople 28 day bootcamp DVD every other day for at least 15 minutes. -DONE

Cross-Training (any type) opposite running days 3 times a week. -DONE

To learn more about myself...I have never taken the time to get to know of the most important persons in my life!

Schedule ME TIME on the calendar at least once a week.

Get closer with the big man upstairs!

Monday, Wednesday, Friday. - COMPLETED AUGUST

Sparkpeople 28-Day Bootcamp DVD Monday, Wednesday, Friday. - COMPLETED AUGUST

Strength Training Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs.

Cardio Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs.

Rest days...Saturday and Sunday (not really...these are WORK days...more like stress days!).

Tough Mudder 2013 -COMPLETED APRIL 2013

Increasing fiber intake to 25-30 grams a day.

Water intake 8-10 8oz glasses a day.

Make a homemade meal daily (except Sat/Sun-work days).

Daily walk Bible Study Mon-Fri.

Learning a little more about me each day and how to make peace with myself, relax a little, and schedule me time.

Spending quality time with my 13 year old girl teaching and learning from well as having fun.

Personal Information:
I'm from in VA.

Miss my family sooooooo much sometimes that it makes me sick, but we are all taking new strides to seeing each other more often and talking via phone, text, email as often as we can!

Other Information:
Right now my life is all about getting closer with family and Jesus. Enjoying every moment that I can while we make memories.

Learning more about myself and what I want to accomplish in life.

Being true to what I believe in no matter the criticism or glare.

I believe in the cold hard truth and alot of people can't deal with that...where does it get you if you can't face reality?

I'm very outspoken and maybe a little too blunt at times and I know some peole take it wrong, but I have also gained alot of respect in that sense as well.

    Hey, I just saw the comment you left on my picture. I'm 5'5" and weigh 131. Toning is definitely an issue. I do lots of running and strength training but I've lost a total of 75 lbs since I was 16 years old (i'm 21 now) and 45 of those pounds were just lost in the past 13 months. So i'm having issues toning my stomach to look normal now. I would appreciate any suggestions :-).

    I've only just started running last week, but when I ran in 2007 My thighs bulked up a little which felt counteractive. I'll have to see if I lose weight this time. A lot of my weight I need to lose is that stubborn, had a C-Section pooch that I cannot get rid of and know it will be the absolute last place I lose it and it will take a lot of hard work, lot of cardio and consistancy. I just started the Stress Challenge a couple days ago, so we are in the same week! I'll let you know if the running is helping lose weight emoticon
