My Journey
I am on a journey to improve my health after years of inactivity. Heart disease runs in my family. I lost my Mom when she was only 55 years old to a stroke and I, too, have some of the same issues, such as high blood pressure. I want to be around for my family and friends. In "The Spark" it says, "there is a simple test to help determine whether your mission on earth is completed yet: if you're alive, it isn't." In "The Spark" it says, "there is a simple test to help determine whether your mission on earth is completed yet: if you're alive, it isn't." I know God has a mission for me here, and I can do that better if I stay healthy. My initial goal in May 2009 was to lose 15 pounds. I was only 2 pounds away from reaching that goal when life got hectic and I stopped everything. I looked and felt better than I had in years. Now I just want to regain those healthy habits and make them stick. Getting more physically fit and shapely wouldn't hurt either! With God's help, I can do it! Addendum: 15 Pounds Lost on 1/31/10 20 Pounds Lost on 3/7/10 Graduated Couch to 5K on 5/13/10 Ran my first 5K in 36:38 on 5/15/10
