So grateful for SparkPeople! I started (again) at 280 in April, 2013, determined to lose at least 100 pounds. As of January, I lost about 30 pounds but have learned how to treat myself better, how to track, and become ever committed to long term weight loss. My long term goal is about 150.

September 2013: I have lost steadily and tracked my food and have lost about 25 pounds since my highest weight of 288. On the way to 150. I am 61, in the middle of a divorce, and have ...

I was raised in a mixed-race family. I do not consider any of my choices in life or comments to have consideration for any races because to me it isn't an issue.

I hear where you are coming from. You hear where I'm coming from regarding the matter of equality, feminism, race.

We do not disagree at all and that we agree on.

I try to lighten up on my discussion of inequality because of the rage I sometimes feel. I was treated fairly equal until coming to BOYz, Idaho. There have been many shocking situations I have gone through. Not because the incidents were shocking (they were sexist!) but because I truly had never experienced them before. It took me several years to get a clue!
Now not only do I have a clue, I know the sources. I am a woman not to be messed with by those sources. Those sources understand and let me be. LOL

Once I start floating it's difficult to stop. I spent YEARS floating down the river of disrespect, self-sabotage and regret. It took another couple of years to get me even started up again. I am going to pass on floating until I have a very firm foundation beneath me.

~~~~The Five "W"'s of Life~~~~
WHO you are is what makes you special.
Do not change for anyone.
WHAT lies ahead will always be a mystery.
Do not be afraid to explore.
WHEN life pushes you over,
you push back harder.
WHERE there are choices to make,
make the one you won't regret.
WHY things happen will never be certain.
Take it in stride and move forward.
These 5 "W"'s are
A Wonderful Way to Wake-up on Wednesday!!!
Enjoy the day!!
