I'm in my late 50's. I never had weight issues until after I had my kids. I never learned about portion control or any of those things that are important in weight loss.

I've been on Weight Watchers and used their ActiveLink. I lost 10 pounds and have kept it off, but got bored with going to meetings (also meetings weren't always possible because I have MS fatigue).

My Goals:
Ideally, I want to lose 60 more pounds.

I want to be more healthy to minimize any weight-related effects to my MS.

Personal Information:
I've been married to my husband for 25 years. We have 3 grown children between us and have 8 grandkids.

I have 2 silly dogs. One is a female Black Lab who is afraid of thunder, fireworks, or any such noise. The other is a male Hound mix, I think he is a Plott Hound, but I'm not sure. He is a couch potato and lives for food!

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in Feb. 2003, but had my first major attack in around March 1988. I am ambulatory, use a cane part time due to fatigue and occasional balance issues.

Other Information:
I love to read cozy mysteries, fantasy, urban fantasy, Westerns, almost anything.

I also like to crochet and do counted cross-stitch.

I love to see Florida wildlife in my yard and when I'm out and about.

For the ginger I just put the one I bought from the store in a pot of soil. If you live in the north you will need to bring the pot in. It will look like it is dead but in the spring it will send out shoots and then it will be growing. The one that you planted will go back into the soil but it does send out shoots from it before it dies. It will move around and it needs to be in a plant because it will take over a garden. I learned that the first time I planted it and went to get some and could not find it where I planted it. It had moved from that spot. After that I put it in a pot. You can see what it looks like in an earlier blog under "Ginger gone wild".

So glad your back. Don't worry to much the motivation will find you. The holidays have us all frazzled but once we can concentrate on us again we will be rocking it.

Love the updates you have done to your page, Frosty! emoticon

Hey Spark'in Minion! ( O-O )

WHAAAT? 's up with you? How's your November going so far?

Me? Oh, I've been very busy with family visiting from Germany and my daughter making the varsity basketball team. Although I have been very bad at reading blogs and responding, I have not fallen off the wagon, even if it means walking my miles on the treadmill in front of the TV from 10:00 pm - 12:00 am each night they have been getting done.

I've got my fingers crossed - Hoping to reach the 170's sometime this week. Only 6 lbs left to reach my 175 lbs mini goal by Thanksgiving and walk into my surgeon's office to hand him his I'm grateful for YOU card....
