In 2003, I was slapped in the face with a sad reality when I'd finally decided to step on a scale and realized that I weighed 224 pounds. I knew that I was overweight, but I'd been in total denial about how bad it had gotten. The next day, I started dieting and over the next few years, I eventually got down to 122 pounds. I'd managed to lose 102 pounds and for the most part, maintain it.
Then after purchasing a house in April 2010 and my wedding in October 2010, I somehow TOTALLY stopped watching what I ate. And exercise? Yeah, that became non-existent. Earlier this year, I attempted losing weight again, but after about 2 months, I just... stopped. Again.
Well, I realized the other day that I can't get my wedding ring off and I'm up to 171 pounds as of September 2nd 2012. ACK!! Half my progress is wiped out, but I'm NOT letting it get any worse than that! I've done it once and I can do it again! Once again, goal weight, 120!
ULTIMATE GOAL: 120 lbs
* Goal #1: 165 pounds by October 1st.
* Goal #2: 159 pounds by November 1st.
* Goal #3: 153 pounds by December 1st.
* Goal #4: 147 pounds by January 1st.
I found that I stay on plan when I track my food psychotically and weigh myself every day. So that's what I'm doing! And I've started running (ok, I'll be honest, jogging slowly) again because I'm determined to become a runner. Hopefully soon, I'll get back my old determination to exercise in every spare moment again.

I was IMMEDIATELY grateful I was not in a public place, nor was anyone home to see me haha. Although had I been recording it, I might have won on America's funniest home videos bahaha.

Thank you for the friend request and thank you for the comment on my blog. :) Funny how we tend to have cars like that once in a while - they are just a pain, but we love them. For me it was my Ford Festiva (evvvveryone made fun of it because it was tiny), but I loved that dang car. I was so sad when we had to take it to the toyota graveyard lol. We finally got the car started, apparently I let loose a vacuum hose that I figured out once I had calmed down. hehehe. Oopsie. Hope you have a great rest of the weekend!! :)

It's worth the drive if you make a mini vacation of it. I am originally from Michigan and drove down to Atlanta (10+ hour drive) just so I could go to it and cheer my friend on. I'm just happy I got to participate last minute. That's awesome your cousin's husband did it!

Thanks for the blog comment! If you have one near you, I definitely recommend doing it! Even if you aren't fit, it is a lot of fun. Before the race, my friend made a very accurate observation he said "This is the most unhealthy race I've ever seen, people are standing around drinking beers, eating hot dogs and smoking cigarettes and then plan on doing this race!" While I don't recommend doing all of THAT it shows the wide variety of people. There were the hard core runners who somehow ran through the mud, there were young people, older people, I saw a guy who looked to be in his 60s and not very fit on the path. It's fun because it's not ALL about 'time' it's about surviving the zombies. You can do it!
