The Continuing Saga

In 2003, I was slapped in the face with a sad reality when I'd finally decided to step on a scale and realized that I weighed 224 pounds. I knew that I was overweight, but I'd been in total denial about how bad it had gotten. The next day, I started dieting and over the next few years, I eventually got down to 122 pounds. I'd managed to lose 102 pounds and for the most part, maintain it.
Then after purchasing a house in April 2010 and my wedding in October 2010, I somehow TOTALLY ...

Then after purchasing a house in April 2010 and my wedding in October 2010, I somehow TOTALLY stopped watching what I ate. And exercise? Yeah, that became non-existent. Earlier this year, I attempted losing weight again, but after about 2 months, I just... stopped. Again.
Well, I realized the other day that I can't get my wedding ring off and I'm up to 171 pounds as of September 2nd 2012. ACK!! Half my progress is wiped out, but I'm NOT letting it get any worse than that! I've done it once and I can do it again! Once again, goal weight, 120!

My Goals:
ULTIMATE GOAL: 120 lbs

* Goal #1: 165 pounds by October 1st.

* Goal #2: 159 pounds by November 1st.

* Goal #3: 153 pounds by December 1st.

* Goal #4: 147 pounds by January 1st.

My Program:
I found that I stay on plan when I track my food psychotically and weigh myself every day. So that's what I'm doing! And I've started running (ok, I'll be honest, jogging slowly) again because I'm determined to become a runner. Hopefully soon, I'll get back my old determination to exercise in every spare moment again.

Thank you for the comment on my Insanity blog. It is so funny when we try to work out with your pets around. We used to have a Saint Bernard who thought it was play time when I would do yoga and core work. Definitely a funny distraction.

I mostly write fantasy, although I've been known to venture into sci fi now and again. I have a cyberpunk romance banging around half-finished.

I've tried other genres, but they aren't as fun. :)

Mirrors are really evil. The scale also can be at times because it usually takes me about a month to lose 1 pound but I can see a difference in photo's and clothes because it's fat/muscle transitioning.

Getting married, buying a house and life do throw some curveballs at us and tend to make us gain weight. Good for you for realizing you gained again and are trying to get back down to where you were. You did it once you can do it again!
