I have a birth defect, Growth Hormone Deficiency and other pituitary problems. This has left me with hypothyroidism and other problems that make my metabolism very sluggish. I know that the solution to raising my metabolism is to eat frequent, healthy meals and excercise. It''s the motivation that I seem to lack. I was sixty pounds lighter just 7 years ago. I had lost a lot of weight living in California. I walked every where I went and my days off were spent walking on the beach. I was very active! That''s not as easy in cold Ohio. I have stationary bike, hand weights, and many pilates DVD''s. I just need that motivation.
Update... I moved to a tiny Ohio town almost two months ago. It literally looks like an old ghost town. I walk to the post office, and will enjoy riding my bike around the country roads.
I'm going to do this in mini goals: My first Mini goal is to get below 200. After that, my mini goals will go in 20 lb increments. My ultimate goal is 120.

Breakfast is a bowl of cereal or oatmail, a piece of fruit, and milk. Lunch is a cup of rice, 3 oz chicken or tuna and salsa. Dinner is a starch, veggie/salad, and protein. Snacks are nuts, granola bars, yogurt, Apple w/PB, Veggies w/Hummus. I've been slowly adding more water to my diet. I have several work out videos. Many pilates, three Jillian Michaels, and a stationary bike. I like to go hiking, and bicycling when the weather permits. And, I have a gym membership. I have no excuse not to exercise.
