Repeat customer!

I've been on and off SP so many times I've lost track. I do believe I am healthier for it - my eating and exercise habits are far better than they were 6 years ago when I first joined. But I have yet to achieve lasting weight loss. Still working on finding that perfect balance that will leave me both happier and healthier for good, not just for 6 months at at time.

That app sounds really handy. Unfortunately, I usually work out at work and we're not allowed to have personal cell phones in the building. So I could do it if I ran outside, but that's not happening much this time of year. I'll just stick with my current plan and see what happens when it comes time to do a long, uninterrupted run.

Okay, that's just too complicated. I'd almost rather do the SP plan and then work my way up to a 3.1 mile run rather than keep track of all that! I did my first 4-minute run on Saturday and was nervous about it, but did just fine. I will do it again today, on the treadmill this time; the heat index is nearly 100. The treadmill is physically easier but psychologically harder, so I'm not sure how it'll go.

Ugh, your foot problems sound awful. Can you see another podiatrist? Sometimes a new set of eyes can really help solve problems.

Thanks for the warning about the beach! I'll be thinking more Lake Michigan - I grew up about 40 minutes from its shores - than Caribbean Sea.

Today I did my first three-minute run; walk for 2 minutes, run for 3, 5 repetitions. The run went far better than I expected. I needed to cheer myself on several times, but I finished it without major difficulties. Then I went home and did a whole body strength training session. I'm not sure if that's dedication or insanity. Perhaps it's both, lol. YOOVIE's suggestion for the day was to go big on a random Wednesday night. Yeah, I totally did. emoticon

How are you feet feeling? Are they doing any better?
