Yes, stevia is totally natural. I refuse to use artificial sweeteners (most are animal tested, for one) and wouldn't ever suggest it in a recipe. Stevia is a plant, like sugarcane, that just happens to be non-caloric.
I like the NuNaturals drops. They have less of an aftertaste, IMO. I usually hate the aftertaste of stevia. It tastes like aspartame (only NOT manmade and awful) to me. The NuNaturals don't have the icky bitterness.
You can always also use a small amount of cane or beet sugar, drop a date into your tofu pudding or add banana to sweeten without stevia. :) Your choice! 2471 days ago
