I was a spark member some time ago and gave up, had too much going on at home--still do, but my perspective has changed; my life will no longer be dictated to me by the whims of a forty-something child (enter the husband). If you are not interested in THAT mess, stay outta my blogs because he WILL regularly appear, I assure you; I'm still working my way through that particular jungle and we will have to wait and see what happens.
Outside of this irritation, I am: a writer, mom, student, eco-concious, hoping to one day travel a bit more, and soooo wanting to wear lovely things. There are some beautiful bohemian/gypsy/natural skirts and tops out there right now....everything I've ever wanted to wear and I can't fit into them. Sucks. So THAT is my completely selfish, shallow reason for wanting to lose weight--a clothes addiction. Not doing it for my health...well, I mean, of course I am--but my motivation, I suppose you'd say, is all about the clothes.
No I don't like veggies, so don't encourage me to eat them. Envision them with those old 'Mr. Yuck' stickers parents used to put on chemicals under the sink so kids wouldn't drink them and you will kinda get my view on veggies. (Why didn't they just move them out of reach I wonder?) Don't try to convert me--I am a carnivore, ESPECIALLY since finding the Paleo-lifestyle. Loving that and it works, by the way. Before starting on SP again, I'd already lost 27 pounds in a month and a half. Not too shabby. I seem to be losing about 2-4 pounds a week now--and no, I'm not exercising regularly yet. I will blog about this later too.
Hmm. Think that's about it for now. I will start my blogs soon. Plan to track my journey to the forest of beautiful clothes and all the successes and pitfalls along the way.

I am considering trying Ten Minute Trainer...but don't know if I'm ready yet. For now, I exercise with dance dvd's when the mood strikes me, but am not overly concerned with exercise at this point as I have eliminated everything made from wheat. My carb count is fairly low and I am losing weight without exercise currently--why rock the boat? I do love to dance though...dancing doesn't really seem like exercise to me somehow.
