Taking it a day at a time.

You can throw in the towel, or you can use it to wipe the sweat off your face!

How true a statement that is! I've never felt terribly 'tough' when it comes to fitness/strength related activities, but since joining SP and really making an effort, I have learned that sweat is a good thing. There is nothing I like better than working up a sweat while working my butt off (literally - my butt is shrinking!)

How true a statement that is! I've never felt terribly 'tough' when it comes to fitness/strength related activities, but since joining SP and really making an effort, I have learned that sweat is a good thing. There is nothing I like better than working up a sweat while working my butt off (literally - my butt is shrinking!)

This is a journey. I'm learning more about myself as I stick to my plan. I am learning that I don't hate exercise. I actually love the way it makes me feel. I just don't like exercising in the Arkansas summer heat and humidity. I also don't hate cooking. I am loving making healthy meals and knowing exactly what I am putting in my and my son's bodies.

Update: 4/17/14: I am still learning. I have fallen off the wagon again over the winter due to deaths in the family and my husband's baby sister's wedding. I'm starting small this time; instead of looking to lose 150+ lbs, I'm going to try to lose 40 by July. I think it's doable. I've done it before. Small steps, small victories.

My Goals:
Goals:

LEAVE 300'S BEHIND: 7/31/2013

100 Day Challenge:
Stick to the SP program for 100 days. By July 18, 2014 I will be 270 (or less). *** UPDATE: As of May 20, I am at 275 so the 270 goal may be too conservative, but that's the most SP will allow me to show losing.

Long term goal:
Reach 150 by December 2015.

Reward system:
Every 10 lbs lost, new outfit.

30 lost = new earbuds
* done! Wireless!

37.75 (1/4 of goal) = New hair style

50 = another pair of shoes (I'm thinking heels!)

My Program:
My program consists of mainly eating less! How original, right? I'm going to remove second helpings from my vocabulary and become friendly with the salad bar.

I bought a gym membership this time around and so far I've been sticking to my fitness plan. I've gone to the gym every morning before work and will start fresh tomorrow morning.

Personal Information:
Real name: Sheri
From: Arkansas

I'm a 40 year old mother of a 8 year old. I've been married to my high school sweetie for 21 years (gasp!). Our little boy is the light of our lives and definitely keeps things from getting too quiet around the house.

I work full-time in the logistics field (I help people move freight), in an office where I am not only the oldest, but also the biggest. While everybody else is high energy, planning to run a Tough Mudder, I'm sitting quietly in my corner eating ice cream cake. No More!

Other Information:
Hobbies include: drawing abstract designs in black pen (like my background), scrapbooking, and writing. I am also a Simmer and own every Sims game ever made.

I am mighty glad to know I"m not the only one that considers getting up to get the remote to be movement! Every little bit helps I guess!

Hope your weekend is starting off well!
