Ready for 2013!

I got the family a Wii for Christmas 2009. I saw the Wii game "Walk It Out!" in January, ordered it and started walking it out on February 6, 2010. The next weekend, I completed a marathon (26.2 miles) over the three-day weekend. I was pretty addicted to the game and it motivated me to eat better... how can you walk so much and blow it by unhealthy eating? By 2012 WIO had lost it's motivation - I'd built the island too many times...

In May 2012 I learned about the Striiv Pedometer. It's really got me moving again. Lots of challenges and feedback. I did over 1000 miles and 2.35 million steps in 2012 because of it. I reset it back to zero for 2013, so look-out, here I come! I've got the Striiv Smart Pedometer (the stand-alone version), but they now have a free I-phone app. Learn more at http://www.striiv.com/.

I went to Farms2Forks in April 2013 to learn more about the benefits of being plant strong with the goal of losing weight and getting off my medications. Engine 2, McDougall Starch Solution, Jeff Novick and Happy Herbevoire are my role models.

I'm looking forward to seeing what 2013 will bring.

Come visit the SparkTeams "Walk It Out for Wii" or "Striiv Spark Team" to get moving. Soon you could be addicted, too.

Send a SparkMail to me with your personal email address if you would like a document I compiled of WIO Tips and Tricks with excerpts from the actual WIO manual, maps of Rhythm Island and tips and tricks quoted from WIO fans online both on the Facebook forum and Amazon WIO forum. This is a guide which includes advice from the entire community, not just the work of one individual (me).

Thank you for reading my blog! Planning and prepping is the only way I have found I can be successfully with creating a healthier me. Not planning is how I gained back 48 lbs last Fall. No you can't plan for everything, but no planning leads to an unhealthy me :o) I won't lie, it is a lot of work and can be overwhelming. But just like making the time to exercise, you have to make the time to plan.

Hope you are have a Toe Tapping Tuesday!!!

Thank you again!!!

Thant would be a lot of caches! Try looking at some parks with trails and you may find some caches that frequent. I know locally we have some trails with a ton of caches just off the trails.

Have fun! emoticon
