It's now 2014 so I guess it's time for an update since I'm renewing my weight loss journey after becoming one of "those" people... you know, the ones that drop a bunch of weight and then over time gain it back.

I lost 50 pounds in 2011 by eating healthy foods and working out at the gym. By the end of 2013 I had gained back all but 10 pounds though. Several things lead to the gain... health issues, family health issues, stress, major changes at work, and a whole lot of excuses. I am an emotional eater... I eat when I'm happy or sad or mad or stressed. I also have a tendency to get lazy... because I tend to forget how much better I feel when I'm exercising regularly.

In 2014, I hope to find a better way to deal with stress, etc. so I can lose the weight and keep it off this time!

~Marianne Williamson

Hey I'm good! I gained a bunch of weight but I think I'm at that true point where I am ready. How have you been? How has the new house been?

I am glad your meds help you function, and whatever it takes and helps you, is what is best. I am worried I won't be able to function if I let things go on too long, but I really want to try to give my light box and Vitamin D more time to kick in. I am going to hang in there this week if possible now, and if by the weekend I feel the same or worse, I'll go to a walk-in clinic. I know how terrible anxiety can feel, it's really tiring. Today I am feeling the same way, but my husband is home with me and we both have the day off which I am happy about.
Have a great weekend.

Thank you. The one and only time I was on an antidepressant I had a miserable time and was hallucinating and like a zombie. It was super scary. I ended up going off it cold turkey. So I am leery of meds. emoticon I do know that my anxiety meds helped a lot when I was on them. It's been just over a year now since I went off and I was feeling really well. It's hard to feel no shame though as I have family who is dead against meds for mental illness. It makes it tough. I know what I need to do though, I want to get better and if it's meds I'll do it.
