Windswept Acres

I'm a city girl turned country dweller, with more miles on me than I care to admit. I share my life with my writer husband, five dogs -- occasionally seven -- a cat and an even dozen Nubian milk goats. Chickens have arrived and are nicely settled in our poultry yards. (They think they're free-range, and have started laying eggs, hiding them in the old scrap wood pile.)

(They think they're free-range, and have started laying eggs, hiding them in the old scrap wood pile.)

Last year was supposed to be spent finishing up projects and cleaning the property, but was derailed by some heart irregularities. We did expand the goat yard and build an extension on the barn to accommodate the additional goats.

2015 will be a time of finishing the root cellar, clearing along the fence line and cleaning out the storage shed. If time and energy permit, I'd also like to turn the wasted space where the water heater used to live into a towel closet in the bathroom.

I don't do well with formal exercise programs, partly due to being so far from an affordable gym, so work is my "exercise plan."

You have to accept whatever comes, and the only important thing is that you meet it with the best you have to give."

- Eleanor Roosevelt

All we can ever ask of ourselves is that we give it our best shot-if we do that then we will succeed in the end.

Wishing you a Sparktacular Weekend.
Hugs

In order to succeed, you must first be willing to fail.
~Anonymous~

They tend to say that unless we have failed we don't value our success. I know I have failed many, many times, but I keep getting up and trying again.

Wishing you a Fantastic Friday.

Accept challenges, so that you may feel the exhilaration of victory.
~George S. Patton~

It is true isn't it, we need those challenges to make us feel truly alive.
Have a Fabulous Thursday.
