I'm a city girl turned country dweller, with more miles on me than I care to admit. I share my life with my writer husband, three dogs -- plus the neighbor's two dogs who usually show up for breakfast and dinner -- a cat and currently 17 Nubian milk goats, one of them pregnant. Chickens think they're free-range, and keep us in eggs all summer and well into the cold weather.
2014r was supposed to be spent finishing up projects and cleaning the property, but was derailed by some heart irregularities. We did expand the goat yard and build an extension on the barn to accommodate the additional goats.
2015 will be a time of rest and renewal, with no major projects planned. In 2016 we'll have someone do a bathroom renovation, swapping our tub out for a walk-in shower with grab rails, part of our plans to age-in-place.
Hubby bought me a treadmill from the local thrift store, so I'm gradually working up my speed and endurance.
Goals for 2015 include:
getting back to a regular walking program.
cleaning out the storage shed.
decluttering the house.
reading 2 nonfiction books a month.
Anything else you would like to tell people. Could include things like your favorite books or movies, a quote, anything.

“ Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time. ”
Love to watch the clouds and see what I can imagine they form. Do you ever do that?
