I'm a city girl turned country dweller, with more miles on me than I care to admit. I share my life with my writer husband, five dogs, a cat and nine Nubian milk goats. Chickens have arrived and are currently occupying our dining room. Decided against turkeys, as the minimum order was a dozen -- a lot of turkey for two people.

Current projects include fencing in two poultry yards, getting our garden ready for planting, the never-ending clutter-clearing and organizing, and finally ...

The rain may be falling hard outside,
But your smile makes it all alright.
I'm so glad that you're my friend.
I know our friendship will never end.
~Robert Alan~

Rain was falling here earlier today but heading into hot and dry
for the coming week.
Have a wonderful weekend.

"Eighty percent of success is showing up."

- Woody Allen

No matter whether it is dieting or just doing a project, we just have to show up or we will never succeed!

Have a wonderful Thursday

sorry you had to cancel your trip..another time maybe!
The idea that living out in the country is boring is something lots of city folks have...well it is a constant and never ending challenge to get it all done everyday. I never had that issue when living in town.
Guess which one I prefer!! heee hee I love living out!

Have no idea what happened with that Billy..hopefully he found his way home! I don't keep goats anymore so did not need that kind of addition to my lil homestead!

Have a great tomorrow..I am going out to bkfst with ICU RN's that I worked with for years..then to the show! Fun day out with the girls...will be home by 3 to tend to chores though!!

Thank you so much for commenting on my blog "On the Bus," and for sharing your dream about being a subway driver! I had never heard that one, and it is just fascinating that you would dream of yourself in that unusual role. There must be some significance to the subterranean idea. I'm always either in a car or on a bus in my trying-to-be-the-driver dreams. But my best "vehicle" dreams are when I'm a passenger on a plane. In that one, I'm not trying to be the pilot, but just looking at the ground (we swoop down over rocky crags, etc.) and feeling very thrilled. Thank you again!
