Starting Over

My name is Bill. I regained a lot of weight during the past six months taking care of my wife. Now that my beautiful wife has passed away after a 4-year battle with Amyloidosis, it is time to start taking care of myself. It may be difficult at first because of the grief, but I have to do it!

While I didn't do well with the last 2 challenges, I'm determined to do better on the Summer Challenge. My Goal: I want to drop 11 pounds (5% of my weight) by the end of the challenge. ...

My Goals:
I want to get to 180 lbs by March 2105. While I can't run very much due to tendon damage after a broken leg, I want to get back in the habit of exercising daily.

My Program:
Eat healthy, watch the portion sizes, and exercise frequently. This formula always works, but it's easier said than done! I've got to find a way to make them habits instead of things that I HAVE to do.

Personal Information:
I live in San Antonio, Texas - an absolutely great place! (except perhaps in July and August...)

Other Information:
I grew up in Texas, but spent 26 years in the Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, I worked another 15 years at Brooks AFB, TX as a contractor. I love outdoor activities of all types. I'm currently finishing a vacation cabin at some acreage I have near Rocksprings, TX. This was our "get-away" spot where my wife and I could really enjoy nature.

I'm in Denver and hope you have a ball in our Colorado mountains. The weather seems to have taken a good turn, but watch out for lightening and thunderstorms as you enjoy this beautiful state and the fabulous mountains!

Thanks for commenting on my page. In fact, I change my workouts every day. I just think that I've reached my set point. I actually have visible abs. All excess weight is in my thighs and butt so I am counting on Jillian Michaels dvds to help firm up as much as possible.

Good morning and Happy Monday! I am sure once I see your pictures I will fall in love with the area and I know only too well that I should never say never. LOL

Here is to a mindful Monday! emoticon emoticon
