Losing Weight

Back in Sept. of 2010 I set a Big goal for myself to lose 40 lbs. by my son's high school graduation on May 20, 2011. I reached that goal on
May 17, 2011. During that summer I lost another 5 lbs. but that fluctuated. I maintained the 40 lb. weight loss until the summer of 2012. I went on vacation and when I got home I had gained 10 lbs. I have set another goal for me to lose 35-40 lbs. but I don't have a date in mind. I am now working toward this goal.

My Goals:
I have reached my first long term goal!! Woo Hoo for me!!
My next long term goal is to lose another 25 - 30 lbs. just to satisfy myself and feel good for me! It's ALL FOR ME this time!!! That's enough. Isn't it?

My Program:
I'm tracking everything that is possible to track with SP. I exercise 5 days a week. I drink plenty of water and I set small monthly goals for myself to meet.

Personal Information:
I am from Hollywood, FL. I was born and raised there. I lived there for 34 years. My husband, 2 kids at the time, and I moved to KY in March of 1997. I love it here and I will never move back to FL. I have 8 grandchildren that don't live near me and I miss them something fierce. I talk to them constantly on the phone. I love them soooo much!!!

Thanks for commenting on my blog "2New".

I started walking in the warmer weather maybe september, building up my distance and started to learn to love it. Walked through to Novemeber and on the 2nd that month is when we had our first big snowfall and my first 5K!

After that, most of my walk/run was done on the treadmill. Let me tell you, my treadmill is a beast of an old thing and I really wish I had the money to replace it, but it works so I'll use it for now on not so great days.

April/May I started training again and did my first 5K this year on Mother's Day. It was the most exhilerating experience ever next to having my baby boy nearly 9 years ago!

I never thought I'd take to running. I hate running, but the emotional rewards and the feeling of accomplishment is so well worth it at that finish line.

If you want it, you will do it.

I just have to remember that I have to pay more attention to what I eat too if I really want to lose some more weight.

Hope you have a super weekend and enjoy the rest of June. Can't believe the year is half done!!!

The pilates class ends in the middle of August. Right now, I'm thinking of sticking with it... And signing up for another pilates class. I've also thought of possibly taking a zumba class.

How is your June treating you?
