My Goals:
Get back into a comfortable size 14

Handle stress at work better and get back to a better work/life balance

Play more with my kids (still working on that - not sure why it seems to be so hard - maybe because at work all day people want, want, want and when I get home I want to wind down.....not play. Not to mention 2 1/2 hours before bedtime afterwork does not leave a lot of playtime - got feed them, you, bathe them, brush teeth and get 'em in bed. Whew - start over.)

Make smarter food chioces

Eat in modertation

Exercise more

It's working for me so far!

Personal Information:
I am a 36 year old wife and mother.

My daughters are Alayna, 8 years, and Tessa 6 years.

I've been married to my husband, Matt, for 10 years (together 15).

I'm an IT ERP Team Lead, so I sit on my butt all day on a computer - been doing it for 15+ years now.

Other Information:
I LOVE to read Fantsay books. Give me a good book to curl up with and I'll read until I fall asleep.

The one cool thing about fasting this week is that I'm not so dependent on food. Before I always had to make sure I had enough food with me whenever I went somewhere - but now I walk out of the door just making sure I have enough water, some cranwater and maybe an apple just in case I can't stand it. My stomach does growl but it goes away. I'm going to try and wait to eat my meal tonite for Erev Shabbos. Even after eating yesterday I only gained .4 pounds from the day before.

Also when you are eating so little when you are fasting I tend to make better choices of what I eat. Bypassed the chocolate chips and veggie straws and went for things that are good for me. And last night on the way home from Racquetball I enjoyed a Honeycrisp apple and when I got home I had 1/4c of almonds and of course water. Could hardly believe that I didn't want more than that - especially since I stayed up to watch the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy - but fell asleep during the last 15 minutes of the show.... emoticon

Great News down 1.6 lbs from last week! Walking at lunch is a good break from work too! I know what you mean by getting it out of the way - if I don't do it in the morning I have a hard time doing it later - which I didn't do yesterday. Could have went to the peace dance and was even dressed and ready but after I ate a tossed salad and two chicken legs I started to come up with excuses not to go and ended up a coach potato :-(

Good news though I'm down another two pounds. There is something to say about the fasting - although when I start eating I'm finding that I want more to eat - maybe I need to eat slower and not in front of the television or computer.....

The creative writing group was really neat. I knew all but one of the women because they come to the New Moon gathering. It's a nice way to get to know them better through their writings - and of course they see a different side of me too because I usually don't do a lot of talking. Rae is the teacher and she has a 6 week session that teaches the 12 steps of creative writing. I'm going to sign up for that when there is an opening. The class yesterday at Robin's meets once a month. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to next month already.

Keep up the good work! Looking forward to Sunday! I have energy and feel good today. Going downstairs right now to run/walk! emoticon

Good substitution for the extra calories. Tell Alayna thanks for the trophy. It makes me smile.
I did pretty good yesterday - a little on edge at work without food but I just kept pushing the liquids - I had coffee, green tea, cran water and of course water. Had whitefish spread on crackers (would have preferred my lower calorie rice cakes but didn't have any) and more cran water - still hungry so I had cocoa krispies with rice milk and then an apple before I went to bed.

This morning I'm down 2 pounds from yesterday:-0. Heading out now for a creative writing class that doesn't get done until 2 today getting me home by 3. I will eat then. Taking green tea, cran water and water with me. I'll bring an apple just in case I can't stand it.

Woke up too late to walk this morning but planning on doing it later and if the weather holds out their is Universal Peace Dance group meeting at U of M at 4:30. My first time there......Love you!
