I am 31 years old and when I joined sparkpeople around 1/5/10 I weighed in at a whopping 322 lbs. I joined the gym November of 2009 but it wasn't until I joined sparkpeople that I felt I was ready to tackle the food that I eat.

I am another one of those women who has pretty much been overweight her entire life. My weight started creeping up slowly but surely when I hit the teen years, I believe that even back then I was an emotional eater. Some of my bad eating habits I developed on my own, and some I picked up from family members. One good example is the night time grazing. I really feel that if it wasn't for that one horrible habit I might not be as overweight as I am today.

I am the mother of three wonderful handsome boys! Their ages are 14 yrs old, 2 1/2 yrs old and 7 months old. One of my reasons for wanting to lose weight is so that I can be more active in their lives! Another big motivator is that I want to become more active in my own life! I am at the point where I am tired of thinking about all the things I CANT do because of my weight! It is time to be DONE with being overweight and live my life!

My overall goal is to get to 190 lbs to begin with... once I get to that weight I will re-evaluate. I've been told my weight should be 140 lbs. But with my height and my bone structure I don't think that is an accurate weight for myself.

12/15/09 - 322 lbs
1/5/10 - 314.5 lbs
1/19/10 - 305.7 lbs
1/26/10 - 302.2
2/2/10 - 301.0
2/8/10 - 302.6

My Goals:
L arge Goal #1: Lose 50 lbs by my youngest sons bday, July 17th. (50 lbs as of 1/25/09)

Large Goal #2: To be down 100 lbs by January 1, 2011.

Small Goal #1: To run a 3k by June 2010


My Program:
I am currently going to the gym an average of 3 times a week. My ultimate goal is 5-6 times.

I do 45 minutes of cardio minimum of 3 times a week. Right now I do 45 minutes on the elliptical.

Strength training when I can fit it in, using the gym machines.

I am currently staying within my calorie range every day but taking one day off a week. I will re-evaluate this later down the road if my weight loss slows or stops. Its too soon to know for sure how it will truly affect me in the long run.
