Im Jeanette From Denver, I am married with 4 great cats and a wonderful puppy. I turned 43 this last year (2010) and Ive noticed that losing weight is next to impossible. I lost about 20 pounds before my wedding (3 years ago) only to gain it back while getting fertility treatments (no baby...just new puppy now). Ive been working out in the rec center for 2 months now without losing anything. So this blog is going to help me get MORE motivated. Im a secret sugar eater. If I dont think anyone will notice..I will eat TONS of it. Candy, cookies, ice cream...you name it and im shoving it in my face. Im going to be totally honest with everyone (me included) about whats really making me gain weight. Im going to track my food intake and my exercise. My current weight is 175 and I am 5'2 1/2". I did an online BMI chart and it said was was obese (OMG). My goal is to not just see a certain number on a scale but to feel really good. Im tried of avoiding going out in public and getting my photo taken. I want to be comfortable in my own skin. The BMI charts said that i would be normal in the 120-129 range. My husband and a few friends are also going to the rec center with me...that is keeping me attending. If I didnt have them, I would stay home and occupy my sofa. OK...so here it goes.

My Goals:
I want to lose almost 50 pounds. Mini goal rewards to keep me going.
5 pounds-massage and steam/salt scrub
10 pounds-new hair color
15 pounds-pedicure and foot massage ahhhh
20 pounds-NEW SUNGLASSES
25 pounds-earrings
30 pounds and Up...I will have to think about.


My Program:
I am working out 5 days a week in the morning before work. from 20-40 minutes. I am also going 3 evenings a week. I am AVOIDING sugar. I am staying positive even if the scale is not moving. I am eating more fiber to keep my cholesterol in check.

    Good for you on that whole steam spa thing. That sounds wonderful.

    I used to go to the Nekkid Hot Springs, but I was 17 and once I got my clothes off there I never wanted to put them back on. But that was 23 years and 2 kids ago. So someday I know I'll be comfortable again. Just would like to get there.
