I have never been really open about who I am because I never thought anyone really cared about me, until I met Spark People. I love being able to be the real me and people still continue to support me.
I have been overweight my whole life and I am not even going to give you a list of excuses! I am done with the old crazy way of life and I am on to a new and improved me. I am in search of a better life, healthy life, and a happy life. I know I can do this and with the support of my new friends I am even more motivated to do my very best.
I am working on losing 100 pounds.( YES, I DID THIS!!) Currently working towards 150. 26 pounds to go! I can do this!
I am almost there and then will set a new goal. A few years ago I was 536 pounds...Yeah, I know...how does one get there? Well, I can only say this, that was my past and I am looking to the future and it is looking like a beautiful and healthy me!
I have my son to thank for getting me to realize that I am worth so much more then dying of food addiction. So, please feel free to come and join me on this ride of a new me and I will always be supportive and compassionate to your needs as well!

Go off all of my medications
Be a kinder more gentler person overall, but a way better mother to my children.
Learn to cook, without burning everything
Learn to trust people again (mostly men)..this is huge for me. This will be the one I wonder if I can be successful at.
Let me add..get a new car!
I am getting out of my chair. Limiting salt, fat and watching calories. I ate Whole Wheat Spaghetti that I made..it was wonderful! I am learning to try and care about myself. That is all new to me!
I have two sweethearts for sons. I am so lucky to have my boys. They help me survive everyday. I am doing this so I can see them grow up.
I am getting Married, Dec 2012! I am so happy and blessed to have finally found the ONE! I love you Kareem!
My whole life I have been a victim. I am working on becoming a hero in my own story. I can't wait to work on this journey with all of you!!

Thanks for stopping by my page and blog. I've actually had a pretty rough year, personally, but am using that as motivation to keep to my health and fitness goals.
Paleo is a non-imflamatory way of eating that uses how our ancestors ate as a template for healthy eating. There are several different ways that people follow it, but the basics are to mainly eat good, lean meat, lots of veggies, some fruit, and nuts and seeds. No grains, added sugar, legumes, limited dairy (some people do none), etc... I don't follow it very closely, like I said, it's more of a template and finding out what works for you.
