It's the little things...........

Hello all, Well this is a long time coming so time to update. I started on sparkpeople in 2009 but not succeeding as of yet. Shouldn't say not succeeding since I have learned to eat healthier and trying to keep excercising in my life. Just for the fact I am more conscience of what I consume is a step in the right direction. Hello all, Well this is a long time coming so time to update. I started on sparkpeople in 2009 but not succeeding as of yet. Shouldn't say not succeeding since I have learned to eat healthier and trying to keep excercising in my life. Just for the fact I am more conscience of what I consume is a step in the right direction. My excercising has become more consistent if not everyday atleast "I am excercising", and that in itself is a great accomplishment. Since starting this program (not the programs fault, naturally) I had gained 40 lbs. Relationship was rocky and of course losing my will power or maybe not caring enough. I continued everyday with the program still having the thirst for the knowledge but yet not applying it like I should of been. There is still my accomplishment of quiting smoking on Nov. 15, 2007 (see that was will power along with Chantix) that should help keep me motivated. Ok fine, food tastes better, oh heck it always tasted good. But anyway as of the past 2 mths something has come over me to change my ways. The need to be thin again is becoming overpowering for me. My son now 20, will be 21 the end of Sept., is in the Marines since Aug. of 2009. He has been my whole life and the need to better myself so there will be many days to enjoy being around him and enjoy grandkids at one point is my biggest reason for taking control of my life. My relationship, Jeffrey a farmer, has it's ups and downs but for the most part it is good. He is supportive as best as he knows how but for him just sticking by me is my support. Naturally he is tall and skinny so haven't convinced him to walk or maybe ride bike but then maybe if the weight I am slowly taking off is noticeable will get him to start. If not just having him with me is enough. This past spring he actually got me out there digging (which secretly he loved it) and just helping him made me feel better. Not one just to sit and ride up and down the field but can be tolerated. A cell phone really can break up the monotony if there's someone to talk too. Well this is enough about me for now and when I change this next time there will be the loss of a few lbs to report. Take care everyone and hope you all can succeed on whatever you put your mind too.

My Goals:
To once again be back into my size 9/10 jeans or anywhere close to that size.

My Program:
Mon: Aerobic Class-60 mins.
Tues: Circuit Train-60 mins. and Yoga-30mins.
Wed: Aerobics-60 mins.
Thurs: Zumba Gold-60 mins. and Yoga-30 mins.
Fri: Aerobics Class-60 mins.

That will be happening until I have to leave for Mn at the end of March. Then I will hope to be able to connect with a gym in a near by town and take classes there. Hopefully they will have the same type like my Aerobics.
Included in the week I plan to do 10-20 mins of my Bow Flex. Ride my bike and work out with my Wii. So far what I am doing has made a big difference for me. I am losing 2 lbs a week plus 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches a week.


To continue eating healthy and keeping my calories within the range that is meant for me.

By choosing to clean out the spare rooms and closets, throwing out crap. I succeeded in cleaning out my spare rooms but still have some junk to go through. Have tossed out a great deal of junk and plan to get rid of much more.

My name is Jolene Lopau but normally go by the name of Jo. I live in a small town Saint Leo, Mn and have been here since 1995. Not sure why but when I figure it out I will tell you. When I say a small town I mean around 96 people last count.

Other Information:
I have a rather warped mind since reading Stephen King or Dean Kontz's books are my top reading material. Naturally a good romance such as Danielle Steele, ect have been known to be read by me. Lately a good mystery romance seems to have more of a story then well you know.............

A good word puzzle book or crossword is enjoyed by me but lately there hasn't been enough time for that.

Anything that keeps my mind from turning to mush I will give it a chance.
