I've been overweight since I gained the so-called "Freshmen 15" in college fall of 1993. Sure, I gained the weight, but I honestly didn't consider myself overweight until years later (1999). I started off on the right track by joining a strength training class and went from a size 14 to a size 8. I've been overweight since I gained the so-called "Freshmen 15" in college fall of 1993. Sure, I gained the weight, but I honestly didn't consider myself overweight until years later (1999). I started off on the right track by joining a strength training class and went from a size 14 to a size 8. In 2000, I suffered from a severe knee injury and spent a year trying to make full recovery -- I had to quit the exercise class and gained the weight back. Since then, I've tried a variety of diets -- none of which have really worked. That's why I'm here... I want to lose the weight, gain muscle tone, and learn to eat healthy again. I need the motivation to stick with a diet / exercise plan.

My Goals:
I am who I am... Personality wise, this will never change. I want to be somebody... I want to step out of the shadows and "shine". Not only do I want to be healthier and look/feel great, I want to improve my confidence and boost my self-esteem. I want to be a role model to others proving that if I can do this, so can they!

My Program:
Tracking my meals using the Nutrition Tracker. Mixing up my exercise routine whenever possible... I also journal and track my weight.

And the most important: I have an absolutely fabulous support team who keeps me focused and on track.
