Getting Myself Back

My main goal is to get my energy level up, and live healthier again.

I've learned alot about what I should eat and what I should pass on. Now I need to get my body back into a better shape so I can enjoy the rest of my life and be a fun and active gramma for my grandbabies.

Here's to a healthier lifestyle!!

My Goals:
I want to lose the excess weight that I have added, and gain back the energy that left me when the pounds piled on.

I want to set a good example for my kids to see that getting old doesn't mean that you have to sit back and wait to die. I want to LIVE until I die.

I want to take a Cruise to the Panama Canal next spring with my husband for our 3rd anniversary.
We both want to be in much better shape, and have alot more energy to enjoy the cruise.

My Program:
I will get out and walk every day, and if the weather is not acceptable for outdoor walking, I will use what I have inside to make sure I get the cardio workout I need for the day. I will do at least 10 minutes of strength training each day, working on one section of my body each day.

Personal Information:
In Dec 2006 I moved from Utah to Arizona with my new husband, I got lazy, because I could! I was never one that had to worry about what I ate...until I got old!
After 4 years in Arizona, we had to leave the state because of lack of employment in the area, we went to Minnesota, hoping to find employment near family. We were there 6 months (thru the winter) and I got lazy and fatter again. Couldn't walk outside in the bitter cold (I tried) and there was no place int the old family farmhouse to get in any exercising, so I got even lazier.
Fast forward to today...
We have since moved to Canada. A job offer finally came through. I am still a stay home wife for now, but while I am staying home, I am learning to bake and cook healthier and I am getting myself back into better shape to take care of my husband and myself.

Other Information:
I have 2 daughters that are 30 and 25, I was married to their father for 19 years when he died from lung cancer.

I am now married again to a wonderful man, and I have 2 step children a daughter 21 and son 20.

I am learning how to do it all over again, and I am happier than I have been in a long time.

Hey! Thank you so much for the comment on my blog. I now realize that it only SEEMS a lot harder because I've always been relying on the number that's on the scale, but I can tell I'm already a bit slimmer within a week. I will just continue with my exercise routine and forget what the scale says. It's only bringin' me down, and nothing should get in the way of how great I've been feeling. :D Keep up your healthy lifestyle. You inspire me! :)

Hey girl! Good to see you are still here. I have been here/gone/back/gone for, well, forever! Back in Canada and just completed 6 weeks at The Biggest Loser at Fitness Ridge resort in Utah. Tough but exactly what I needed (though too long!). Keeping at it and in the zone. Feeling great - hope you are too!
