Welcome to my Sparkpage- I am Whitney! Nice to meetcha!

Hello all! My name is Whitney. I am a 26 year old female. I LOVE food.. and I LOVE too cook.. and I HATE exercise.

I am trying to change the way I see exercise and eating healthy. My new goals are to work out 3 hours a week... I bought the Wii U Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013, I have a few zumba and belly dancing videos, and I plan to start doing the couch to 5k program.

I am going to be eating healthier.. having a protein shake with fruit in the am, salad with soups ...

I am going to be eating healthier.. having a protein shake with fruit in the am, salad with soups for lunches, fruit as a snack throughout the day- then some yummy meals in the evening.

4-5 days of the week I plan to make home made meals. The rest, will be trader joe goodness. ;)

Welcome to SparkPeople emoticon

I totally agree with Kelliebean, you have to stop thinking in terms of Diet and think about it in a more positive way. Take a look at the recipe pages for healthier versions of your favourite treats, look at the motivation pages for tips on how to stay focused, join a group on Sparkpeople where you can share your feelings with people who have similar interests.

What works for me is taking it day by day and often meal by meal. I allow myself a treat every evening, it keeps me going through the day to know I have something to look forward to. Set yourself a goal like 5% weight loss and pick a non food reward for when you reach it. You will get there!!
