Born in Kentucky, but moved as an infant. Moved back in my late 50's. I love Lexington! I have a wonderful husband with a great sense of humor. Kids are grown and gone, but we have two cats, Rudy the puppy-cat and Sidey the Queen of the House momma cat. Grandbabies total seven.

The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. Psalm 145:14

The Jesus Prayer helps to lift the whole life, body and soul, to a level where the senses and imagination no longer seek for outward change or stimulation, where all is subordinated to the one aim of centering the whole attention of body and soul upon God, in the sense that the world is sought and known in the beauty of God, not God in the beauty of the world. - Mother Maria of Normanby

Thanks for the "WHEN I WAS A KID" about Fizzies since I remember them. Oh, I was so lucky as a child in the 50s/60s since my parents were older and my father always had money to give me to get candy and soda, but I was NEVER fat. I loved "Bit of Honey" bars and I'd save them and eat one at a time. I'd cut the sticks of Juicy Fruit Gum in 3 and have 15 pieces instead of just 5 and I'd make them last 3 times as long. I loved Heath bars, Boston Baked Beans, Bubble Gum Cigars, Candy Cigarettes (I have never smoked), Chick-0-Stick, Slow Pokes, and I hated Nic-L-Nip WAX Bottles. emoticon

May we on this 4th of July be grateful for our Freedom and think of all those who paid the high price of our freedom with their lives. Let us also remember those who are defending our freedom right now.

God Bless American and keep her One Nation Under God, for Liberty and Justice for All.

Laugh too much, smile too much, sing too loud, take too many pictures, forgive freely and love like you've never been hurt. Enjoy your life and remember, every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.

If you live your life being happy, you'll have no regrets and once will be enough. Today has a miracle in it for you, hope you can recognize it.
