Welcoming 2012!
A New Year -- and with it comes all the expectations and excitement of a child opening a Christmas present. I know the pitfalls -- It's January 1st, goals are set, expectations are set high -- and then we often fall by the wayside before February comes to a close. But my life is about baby steps. Little tiny increments of positive actions that create the life I want and dream about.

A New Year -- and with it comes all the expectations and excitement of a child opening a Christmas present. I know the pitfalls -- It's January 1st, goals are set, expectations are set high -- and then we often fall by the wayside before February comes to a close. But my life is about baby steps. Little tiny increments of positive actions that create the life I want and dream about.
I share my life with my amazing and wonderful husband, my beautiful adopted teenage daughter, two doggies and 3 cockatiels. I've always loved animals, and find great comfort in many forms of nature.
I eat when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm angry, when I'm bored. I often find myself munching when I didn't even realize I'd picked something up to eat! I'm a Consultant with a company that has a fantastic 30-Days to Feeling Fit, and I am participating in a class on January 2nd in the Bay Area, California. I had been maintaining a 30 lb weight loss, but right now, I'm blessed that I haven't re-reached my highest weight.
My husband and I married in 1999; in August 2004, my stepsister had twins and the next day we met our then 8-yr old daughter for the first time. Our daughter is now a sophomore in high school. I continue to search for new ways to parent a child who has a culture so different from what I grew up with!
One thing I know for certain: I am extremely blessed in all areas of my life and I feel a deep sense of gratitude to Spirit.
