Tracking the Ptarmigan

Follow the tracks of a plump Alaska bird--grandmother, bookworm, fanatic knitter, water aerobics teacher--as she attempts to make shallower dents in the snow.

Other Information:
My favorite quote from Birdie, a Spark Person who lost 140 lbs: Know that for every day that you have stayed within your calorie limits, you have used a little of your fat stores.

The scale is only a guide. If you stayed within your calorie range, you did not deposit any new fat on your body. Tell yourself that the scale can sometimes hold on to extra water, leading you to think that you are not making any progress. Before you go to bed, pat yourself on the back and tell yourself, "I stayed within my calorie range today; therefore I did not gain any fat." Tell yourself that and stay on plan.

A big emoticon for the goodie to celebrate Onederland and also for your advice.
After a disappointing experience at the swim shop, which had not a single modest swimming costume, I got out the measuring tape and worked out my size and ordered two speedo suits online. So I will have no excuses, one in my handbag, one drying and the other with my swim gear.
I was intrigued with the swim tights, might give them a whirl in the future.
Now I am looking to improve my crawl, which is sorely in need of remedial work.
Just keep swimming.... emoticon

Hello there. Thanks for dropping by my Spark page.
You've got me not knowing which way is up and which is down, with your onwards and upward comments, LOL! I do appreciate your funny remarks.

I just realizedI hadn't friended you, I thought we had been friends from ages ago. So I've remedied that. Hope you don't mind.
