Tracking the Ptarmigan

Follow the tracks of a plump Alaska bird--grandmother, bookworm, fanatic knitter, water aerobics teacher--as she attempts to make shallower dents in the snow.

Other Information:
My favorite quote from Birdie, a Spark Person who lost 140 lbs: Know that for every day that you have stayed within your calorie limits, you have used a little of your fat stores.

The scale is only a guide. If you stayed within your calorie range, you did not deposit any new fat on your body. Tell yourself that the scale can sometimes hold on to extra water, leading you to think that you are not making any progress. Before you go to bed, pat yourself on the back and tell yourself, "I stayed within my calorie range today; therefore I did not gain any fat." Tell yourself that and stay on plan.

Wow!
Anyone who does the Iditasport is amazing!
Until I get my knee more "fixed up", even 15-20 mile bike rides are about my limit.

Sorry to have exposed you to the shocks, you crazy bird. I thought you were reading my blogs out of order and you would reach my chaos and disorder blog and read the following translation:
"Ensuite is a private bathroom entered from the bedroom
Fadge is a big sack, in this case old wool bales from sheep stations used to store wool as it is shorn off the sheep
A skip is a large bin that is delivered on the back of a truck. You fill it with rubbish, hopefully before the neighbours and passing strangers sneakily add theirs, then the truck comes and takes it away. Maybe you call this a dumpster?"
So no, not bundles of sticks. HUGE BALES of tree trimmings!

You can't believe that I'm just joining the Anchorage Team because it's not true.
Through some glitch of Spark People, it has added me as a new member after I viewed the team page yesterday, when in fact, I joined in 2007?

I think it's something to do with SP's new web page design ???

Thanks anyway and it's always nice to hear from you. emoticon
Great times on your swim aerobics!
